Tell me about the travel insurance for Taiwan tour
Travel insurance for Taiwan trip is mandatory. So our travel agent will buy travel insurace for all participants of the Taiwan tour. If you have travel insurance already, you need to provide name of the company and policy number to the Travel Agent before the trip. However you can not buy Travel insurance for the Taiwan trip if you do not book the flight from HK to 台北 and from 高雄 to HK. No insurance company in Taiwan will sell insruance for land portion only. If you are from Taiwan or come to Taiwan on your own, then you will travel with the group without insurance.
Can I send my Passport/ID and other personal information directly to the Travel agent?
Yes, you can. Please contact one of the 咨詢人 on the committee for contact information of the agent.
When does the land tour start in Taiwan?
The tour bus leaves from the Arriving Hall of Terminal ?? (waiting for answer from the travel agent), Taipei International Airport 13:00 on Nov. 11. The local guide will carry a banner of Pui Ching Middle School. The group will start sight-seeing in 宜蘭 before check-in at hotel at night. So be sure at the airport 1300 on Nov. 11th.
Can the travel agent book hotel in 台北 or close to 台北 International Airport?
No, the Travel agent will not. They will provide you with a suggested list of hotels in 台北 or areas close to 台北 Airport. The travel time from the airport to 台北 is about an hour.
What is the local transportation at Taipei International Airport to 台北 or 宜蘭?
There are buses to 台北(飛狗 bus is recommended), and to 宜蘭 (very few and far between). Taxi to both 台北 or 宜蘭 are around US$40-50 (NT$1200 - $1500).
Can you buy the tour with only 高雄 to HK flight?
No, you cannot, and the travel agent will not book/buy plane ticket for you.
What about visa requirements?
Plese see the visa requirements here. Those hold US/Canada and other countries can get a visa upon landing so are HK passport holders born in HK. For HK passport holders born outside of HK, travel to Taiwan for the first time need to apply in HK and get a visa. The information provided here may be inaccurate. What is the luggage limitation?
Each person is allowed 20 kg for the flights between HK/台北/ and 高雄/HK. Airline will charge for over this limit. There is no weight on the tour bus.
Where should one exchange money in Taiwan?
