Movie TalkNov.27, 1998 |
"Celebrity"---Some of Woody Allen's movies are funny, some are dark comedies, and some are truly master pieces. This one shot in B&W, however, is very brutal; so brutal that I don't know what to call it. It tells the story of a 40 years man and his "adventures". It even talks about this guy's class reunion ( class of 1975), very brutally portrayed. I did
learn one line that I thought was " functional " to share with the
lighters---"every curve you have promises endless possibilities, and if this universe
has any meaning at all, you must be it ". Sounds like a line often used in Washington
and other interesting cities, doesn't it? |
