" The Mummy"---Speaking of a fun and hilarious movie, this is it. The first
weekend it came out, it scored $44E6, about double what " Entrapment" made
during its first weekend.
Is" The Mummy" a more enjoyable movie to see? Not necessarily the case. These
two movies cater to entirely different types of audience. " The Mummy" is what
kids of ages would love to see, including this very very old kid. "Entrapment"
is for movie goers who enjoy thrillers with the one and only Sean Connery, enhanced by the
presence of a very charming young lady.
The most hilarious show in town, however, is the smart bombs making stupid moves in
Belgrade. This is "military intelligence" at it most hilarious best. These two
words indeed express the true meaning of " military" and "
intelligence".
The Chinese, on the other hand, are not doing too well either. For a people who apparently
can crack the simulation nuclear codes at Los Alamos without being investigated for at
least two years, it does not have the good sense to send an e-mail to the NATO headquarter
to announce that they have moved to a new address in Belgrade.
Furthermore, they have not studied " Confucius" well, who said some 3K years ago
that " A gentleman does not stand near a falling wall". I suppose there were
none of the above.
