S.S. 's write-up on rooting for the Americans is a brave statement for all male Lighters!
I don't consider myself a DOM (dirty old man), or a MCP (male chauvinist pig); however, to
openly saying that wishing to see some impromptu strip-tease is the root cause for the
side-taking should be praised. I remember years ago when Gerald Ford visited Mao Tze Dong
with daughter Susan as a photographer in tow. Teddy White made a comment that the old man
still has lots of fire in him when he lighted up upon the introduction of the young thing.
Although I did not recall Miss B. S. 's repeat of Lady Godiva sans horse in Athens,
GA. I'm sure S.S. did not made that up. It is to the credit of all Lighters that we are
still young at heart, and not afraid of telling the world. A-Chai 's write-up on meeting
Mr. Scurry is very informative, and interesting. We should be proud of ourselves in having
such a pool of talents. I am sure when we meet in Toronto next month, we'll see all the
combined effects of all Lighters. The symbiosis could be earth-shattering.
