Chit Chat # 37

"Keep the web-site alive".

Bob Chen

The 40th reunion was a great success. Many articles have appeared since then. The latest from Pang Woon-Tong captures it all. S.S. and Larry, have the movie talks and jokes restarted. I tried to write as much as I can. However, Desmond Wang pointed out the fact that all contributors are writing slower than pre-reunion days. May be we need to set some goals for the next reunion in Hong Kong in 2002. One item came to mind: We found Star, and she came to the reunion. What about Sun and Moon? Do we want to invite them to the next reunion before no one remembers them at all. I'm sure their better halves would not object if the invitations were extended to all of them. Dennis Su might be able to find Sun quicker than the rest of us via his connection through the "Righters- class of '60". As for Moon, Germany still belongs to planet "earth", and with the lighters' own www, we might find her before 2002. Although, according to Larry, the witch will bring the turkey to NYC after the New York senate race, and Washington D.C.
looses two public holidays in Holloween and Thanksgiving. Our gang in the D.C. area, Juliana Shaw (Mrs. Tu), Mabel Cheng (Mrs. Yu), Josh Hung, and Peter Tong shall not need that two holidays per year to rally the east coast lighters to do more for the web-site. Peter seems to be the only exception that writes more after the reunion, and he should be the shining example for other lighters to follow. Lighters, if you are surfing the web-site, it is about time to do more than read, write something!
