In response to "Aiya"Warren Li |
Barbara's Aiya article was interesting, especially about how to
respond to the common question any Asian parent would ask to their child: When will
you get married or do you have a boy/girlfriend? This multi-context Aiya reminds me
of 5 French words for like Excuse me, sorry, pardon me, and etc.. This ranges from Pardon
(minor), Excusez-moi, Je regrette, Je suis desole, and Je suis navre (dealing with a
disaster). Mind you although I do some web design, my employer requires me to make sure
that I write in both English and French. It's the official policy of my employer. How
about a game: Guess who is my employer. |
