Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas & the best for year 2000. Steve & I
just got back from Hong Kong. We had lunch with P.W. Tong, Lawrence Wong, Dentist Chang & Desmond Wong who was visiting his family at the same time.
The next day we went on an Island walking trip with the group & Wong
Yue, Pol Yue Wah. We sang our reunion song on the top of the hill. After the hike we
had an delicious seafood lunch before reutring to mainland.
Indeed we had a great time and return home with lots of fond memories. Lookg forward to see all 2002 in HongKong if not
sooner.

Hi Peter,
Thank you for your recent e-mail. I looked at the Lighters' address book and note that you reside at Olney, MD. I suppose you are on the East Coast of US, since you mentioned
Washington. I can look at the map and find out where you are. I have no plan at this
moment to visit East Coast cities of US in year 2000 but I appreciate your
introduction to visit your City in April or May. I believe the weather in MD must be warm and fine during April and May.
This morning, I went to play golf with C.C.Luk in Shenzhen, China. I am free today and almost every day of the week and our C.C. Luk can take the morning off since he is the boss of his organization. We did 18 holes, had lunch at the golf club, (both of us are not the members yet). We then returned to Hong Kong after lunch.
Yesterday, Sunday morning has been the table tennis morning for some of the HK Lighters. We invite Lighters from overseas either to play table
tennis or walk for the hills on Sunday. I mean we take them to enjoy the trail walk along the seashore or near the reservoir of the beautiful HK. For your information, two week ago, we took Joshua Hung (A2) to Lammer Island for a trail walk and had delicious sea...food lunch. We also have a plan to take Gina and Stephen Cheng (A7) to the Lammer Island on the
coming Sunday. Gina Mok is in Hong Kong. If you come to HK anytime of the year, we will take you to the Lammer Island too. HA! HA!
Many of our HK Lighters have suggested to go to Lammer Island as one of our 2002 HK re-union
program. We are crazy, that's all. Yesterday, we also talked about where should we hold our 2004's Lighters re-union,(the 45 Anniversary). Some suggested East Coast of US, but the answer was, East Coast Lighters reside in varies cities and not easy to get together for meetings. Someone suggested West Coast. I suggested Sydney, Australia. However, no decision has been made, of course. We were just chattering at the club restaurant on Sunday morning.
Peter, you do mind if I forward the above message to other Lighters whom I have stored their e-mail addresses in my computer.
Best regards.
Guy Shuk
Hi All,
For your info, I plan to go to the US in April and I have like to go some where in May also. My April will take me to San Francisco for 3 days. I
will visit Walter Mok. GuySuk, If you plan anything in May, please let me
know.
Joshua Hung came to BKK after the HK visit. Joshua's cousin is a PC alumni
12 years ahead of us. We had dinner together followed by a sightseeing at
night. I wish Gina and steven could come to BKK. Steve has the same hobby
as I have - to raise tropical fish. GuySuk, say hello to them for me. Ask
steve if he wants to come to look at my fish.
This is the perfect time in Thailand for golfing. The temperature is just
right. Come over to play with me, my friends.
Ivan
Ivan and all the lighters in HK:
I had a grand time in HK and Bangkok. Thanks for Guy Shuk to organize
the Lamma trip. I had nice memory of the island and the sea food. I already had the film developed for that trip.
Thanks to Woo-Tong and C.C. for the feast in New Territory. You have to tell me again the name of the town.
Ivan, again thanks for the hospitality. I will remember the sightseeing for a while. If you come to east coast, visit us. As I
told you, we have Peter Tong as the pillar of the community and we always have time for you if you let us know in advance.
Since I came back, I went to work for the first day. Then my body
started to feel the jet lag, I was at home taking a sick day and slept
through more than 12 hours straight.
Merry Christmas
<Hung Cheung-Lon> Joshua Hung
