After reading Ben Chin's article on Coca Cola with great interest, I remember a recipe my friend taught me 20 odd years ago using coca cola to cook a chicken dish.
Everybody has tasted Soy Sauce Chicken. The recipe for preparing "coca cola chicken" is to use equal portions of dark soy sauce and Coke. Boil them to a boiling point. Put the poor bird in and turn the heat down to simmer it until cooked.
