"Reindeer Games " --- This thriller has action, intrigue, sex, a
good-looking girl, unchalleging acting roles, an impluasible story, but entertaining.
"Boiler Room" --- An interesting film about the youth of today and their way to " make it ". Anyone who has any IPOs, kids, good intentions for
their children, ever been called by a salesperson on the telephone, should
go see this movie have fun with it.
"Wonder boys" --- The rather eventful weekend of an aging college professor
at a liberal arts school in Pittsburgh was well detailed in this fine movie. The ordinary aging or otherwise college professors do not have this
much going for them. Before seeing this movie, I always thought Mike
Douglas was overrated, after seeing it I believe he deserves to be recognized. The movie is about a book the old guy was
writing, a student with a with a talent to write fictions and the wedding dress of Marilyn
Monroe. In the movie, we were all enrolled in "Writing 101". To write is to
make choices, you choose what to keep and what to discard. This is true even in writing scientific/technical papers. The more data one
chooses to keep, the more one exposes oneself. In any kind of writing, the author
often exposes a little of himself/herself. I chose to keep the last portion
of this paragraph, I have just exposed a little bit of myself. I wonder what that is.
