It is interesting to read Horace Zee Ming Ma (Ma Shimin, the modern version)'s long article, Tse Shun Kai's with Peter Tong comments on the same. I like Z. M.'s "cool it" part with Ah Bian's federation/commonwealth approach. I don't recall who said it, but years ago when "Fishing Platform - Tiu Yue Tai" was in the news, someone did suggest that PRC and/or ROC should take a firm stand against Philippines/Japan. If that were done, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Burma, and Philippines would all sign-up to become part of the United States of China! As a Chinese, I do not like the Gai Shuk version to take place. I know America and Japan won't do anything, but the war will still do great harm to both coasts even though it lasts only two weeks. Anyway, this short piece is written as a "pao june yum yut" throwing a brick to get a jade in enticing others to express his/her opinion on the topic.
