Went to see a " sneak preview". It was " proof of Life", featuring Meg Ryan and Russell Crowe. It is supposed to be in theaters in
major cities this coming Friday. "PoL" is a very engaging movie,
probably more so than any I have seen this year. It has exciting action, forbidden relationship, intrigue, and the scenic beauty of
South America. In this Lighter's view, " PoL" makes a good holiday season movie-viewing event. The off-screen story between the two main
characters certainly fans the publicity for this movie.
I also like " The legend of bagger Vance " a lot, a movie directed by Robert Redford. Redford has been able to make rather interesting
movies in recent years, on either side of the camera.
I am waiting for " Crouching Tiger, Hidden dragon", an action movie based loosely on Chinese legend.
