In this movie goer's opinion, it is great that James Cameron received the best director award and that Kim Basinger received the best supporting actress award. The best picture SHOULD go to LA confidential, the actor best Robert Duvall, the best supporting actor Burt Reynolds and the best actress should go to Julie Christie. But what does this movie goer know ?

In Peter Tong recent review of the web site CND, he downloaded Gong Li's photo. She must be fairly young when the photo was taken and there is something quite "unnatural" about her in the photo. She looked much better in " Red lantern rising", and was, perhaps, at the height of her career during that period of time. I saw her again in "Temptress Moon", she was not as enchanting as she was in "Red". It could be due to the script ans/or the role.

" Mr. Nice Guy" is very entertaining to the point of, perhaps, good for your body and soul. Warren Li was quite right in his review.

"US Marshals" does not enjoy good reviews, but it is a pretty good movie.
