Lighter's web site has reached  2,000 hits.

One September weekend last year, with a simple sentence: "Time fly, time glide, Lighters always shine.", hastily composed the opening statement in Chinese, typed, and converted into graphic file with Corel Draw, created Lighters banner and back ground gif, copied Lighters emblem and 7 Hi-tech photos from Walter Mok's company web site, and with limited knowledge of HTML code, I started to create our Lighters' web page. Since then, there is suggestion from fellow Lighters. Continue stream of articles from Larry Wan, Peter Tong, Patrick Wong, Shirley Lam, SS Lau, Charles Chang, Bob Chen, SL Mak and the second generation Lighters like Barbara Chen, Emily Choi and Warren Li. Shun-Kai Tse sent his masterful Chinese paintings and calligraphy from Hong Kong. Barbara T. Ma electronically sent her colorful paintings. CC Lok sent photographs from Hong Kong. Some Lighters faithfully visited our site every week. Without broadcasting our site to outsider, gathered 2,000 hits is not a simple task.

At the beginning, our web site has 6 pages. Nine months later, it grows to 363 pages with 518 files, and occupies over 6 MB of Geocity's hard disk space. The result is beyond my wildest dream. It is a team effort. With   entrusted responsibility to me, I religiously maintain the site.

The site does bring back a lot of beautiful memories, rekindle our friendship and most of all warms our hearts. Now, let us roll up our sleeves, cultivate this fertile land and pave the way to our 40th reunion.

August of next year, all of us will stand at the top of Acropolis, in front of Parthenon, Mount Olympia as backdrop, bath in the golden sun of Ionian Sea, the Mediterranean breeze whispering in our ears, and hand in hand we shout: "Hello world, we did it!"
