The Lord of the Rings

Walter Mok

We have been enchanted by " The lord of the rings". In order to prepare ourselves for "The return of the king" which runs over three hours long, we spent 5 hours last week to watch the number one and two DVD at home. Surround sound gave a very good theater effect. Fairy tale is a powerful tool to convey messages. A lot of the old values may look a bit dull in this competitive world. J.R.R.Tolken, an Oxford professor of Anglo Saxon wrote this trilogy for his children. He tried to remind us that the old values still held. A promise is a promise. He vividly told the stories about both the swaying and persevere natures of human. Supernatural power would come to save the truthful. Life can be very combative and treachery, but on the other hand it can be peaceful, simple and homey. We enjoyed the peaceful look of the fairies, showing no stress at all. It is an epic tales of temptation, corruption with power, good versus evil, bravery, love, savages, friendship, wits, sacrifice, betrayal and loyalty. I am hooked. I become intrigued by the complexity of human nature with referencing to my own experience. There are simple messages echoed from the past. " We can not decide what happens in the future.". " We are given time. We can decide what to do with our time."

You are given time. Have you decided to join Bay to breakers? Walk, Run, and get ready for the good time. 10 weeks to go ---The Event Click Here--->[Link 1]   [Link 2]
